MERIDIAN Systems, the plan-build-operate technology solutions leader for project-based organisations, has launched Prolog Sky, a new cloud-based service allowing access to Prolog’s robust construction project management (CPM) software in a hosted environment.

The Sky service allows customers to quickly and easily deploy Prolog in a proven software hosting environment, enabling organisations to start realising software benefits within a tight time schedule. Hosting services also provide customers with the flexibility to manage their software investment by providing the ability to easily scale the number of users up or down as a business grows or as the user base changes.

According to a company spokesman, cloud-based solutions offer the same functionality as on-premise solutions, but with additional advantages such as flexible IT strategies including SaaS (software as a service), or managed host options; reliable and secure access to application functionality and project data; fast implementation with minimal upfront IT investment; significant long-term reductions in IT overhead; adaptable licensing to easily scale usage based on business need; and accessible Web services to facilitate easy integrations.

Prolog software delivers total project management control for construction projects by automating day-to-day tasks and processes, from project design to close-out.

“Prolog provides the most flexible deployment options for AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) firms that need to get up and running quickly on a project management solution,” says Jon Fingland, Meridian Systems Prolog business unit director.

“Meridian’s cloud-based options allow organisations to choose the most cost-effective solution for their needs – whether that is usage on a single project, or an enterprise-wide standardisation.”
