United Tower ... sign of progress.

WORK is under way on the KD28-million ($99.3-million) United Tower in Sharq, Kuwait City, for United Real Estate Company.

The commercial tower, which is expected to be completed next year, has been designed by Kuwait-based SSH International Engineering Consultants, which is currently supervising the construction work on the project.

SSH is also engaged on other projects in Kuwait, which include the estimated KD500-million ($1.78-billion) infrastructure and landscape design for Sabah Al Salem University in Shadadiya (in the tender stage); the KD170-million ($602.8-million) Kazma Camp for the Kuwait National Guards (in design); and the KD200 million ($709.2-million) KOC marine facilities upgrading project for the Kuwait Oil Company.

Its other projects in Kuwait include the KD12-million ($42.5-million) Kuwait National Guards Headquarters Complex-2 at Riggae; the KD60-million ($212.8-million) police headquarters in six governorates for the Ministry of Interior; the KD15 million ($53.2-million) Al-Hassawi Residence Project in Messilah; and the KD12-million ($42.5 million) Kuwait Tower.
