FOLLOWING its recent participation at the bauma construction equipment trade fair in Germany, Powerscreen, a leading global provider of mobile crushing, screening and washing equipment, is gearing up to showcase its latest products at the Hillhead Exhibition in Buxton, England next month (June 22-24).
Visitors to the working demonstration will see the powerful new Powerscreen Pegson XA750 jaw crusher feeding the new giant Pegson 1500 Maxtrak cone crusher. Alongside the crushers in the working area will be the latest and largest addition to the Warrior screen range, the impressive Warrior 2400.
Further new products on display at the Powerscreen stand include the Pegson XH320 and XH500 impact crushers, Warrior 800 screen and Aggwash. Established models including the Pegson XA400S jaw crusher, Pegson 1000 Maxtrak cone crusher and the Chieftain 2100X screen will give visitors an insight into the comprehensive Powerscreen product portfolio, says Damian Power, product line director at Powerscreen.
The Pegson XA750 jaw crusher, he adds, is one of the most advanced and efficient tracked crushing plants on the market for large-scale operators. It is capable of producing high volumes of excellently-shaped products at up to 750 tonnes per hour (tph). Key features include an unrestricted feed opening, which maintains high production capacities and prevents bridging, a hydraulic closed side setting adjustment system and a hydraulic draw back rod retention system. User benefits include a hydraulically-adjustable product conveyor for ease of transport and low running costs associated with the direct drive crusher system.

The Pegson 1500 Maxtrak ... one of the largest track mobile cone crushers. |
The Pegson 1500 Maxtrak, due to be launched next year and previewed at Hillhead, will be one of the largest track mobile cone crushers on the market, Power states. Specifically developed for larger end-users, the plant can accept an all-in feed from a primary crusher to produce up to 950 tph of aggregate. Utilising the Terex Automax cone crusher technology, operators benefit from hydraulic overload protection, excellent product cubicity and a high reduction ratio.
Also to be launched at Hillhead is the new Aggwash mobile wash plant which brings together for the first time rinsing, screening and scrubbing capabilities on a single transportable chassis. Specifically designed for the processing of construction and demolition (C&D) waste or virgin material, the Aggwash produces three grades of aggregates and one grade of sand at up to 60 tph. “With its innovative mobile design coupled with versatility in operation, the Aggwash is the ideal addition to any small to medium-sized quarry or contractors’ fleet,” Power says.

The Warrior 2400 ... designed for large-scale end-users. |
Two machines that were launched at bauma in April, will be making a reappearance at Hillhead. These include the new Warrior 2400 and the Warrior 800. The Warrior 2400 capable of handling larger feed sizes and output potentials of up to 800 tph is specially designed for large-scale operators in the quarrying and mining sectors. The machine features a heavy-duty incline screen with a high amplitude triple-shaft drive mechanism, lending it to screening, scalping, two- or three-way splitting and stockpiling materials like aggregates, topsoil, coal, construction, demolition waste and iron ore. User benefits include a slide out tail conveyor facility to aid media access and a load-sensing collection conveyor circuit to avoid blockages.
“The Warrior 2400 is the ultimate solution for large-scale end-users who require a high- performing versatile screener that remains easy to transport, set up, operate and maintain,” Power claims.

The Warrior 800 is specifically designed for the small end-user, for whom versatility and transportability are of key importance. The multi-purpose heavy-duty incline two-deck screen is capable of stockpiling, three-way splitting or scalping before and after crushing units. Its highly-aggressive screen can accept bofor bars, finger screens, woven mesh and punch plate. Other benefits include a rapid set-up time and ease of operation aided by hydraulic folding tail and side conveyors, rigid feed hopper sides and two speed tracks. Simplified slide out tail conveyor facilities aid media access and screen media changes with an output potential of up to 280 tph.
Also at Powerscreen’s stand will be the Pegson XH320, a mid-sized horizontal impact crusher designed to offer operators and contractors excellent reduction and high consistency of product shape for performance in quarry and recycling applications; and the Pegson XH500, the flagship horizontal shaft impactor, which is described as being versatile, efficient and highly productive, offering excellent reduction and an output potential of up to 500 tph in quarrying, recycling and demolition applications.
