SCHNELL Group, a global leader in the production of rebar processing machines, has strengthened its presence in the Gulf region with a new branch in Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, UAE.
The Schnell Gulf will be a centre for after-sales technical trouble-shooting, after-sales service and installation of new machines.
In order to ensure the best possible service, a large inventory of spare parts will also be readily available. In addition, a team of experience resident technicians will be on hand to take care of and solve any problem.
Abid Raza Zaidi, general manager, Schnell Gulf comments: “Some 14 years have passed since Schnell installed its first cutting and bending plant in the UAE. Ever since, Schnell has accepted every challenge by taking part in the execution of the largest and most challenging engineering projects in the UAE — from the massive piling work at Dubai International Airport to the other prestigious projects.”
“By opening this new branch, Schnell accepts another challenge: to become a point of reference in the Gulf region as the most modern, innovative and organised company — company you would want to have at your side to provide the best answers to your requests,” he continues.
“Our leading position in the market, as well as Schnell’s attention to quality service, convinced us to open a local branch to meet our clients’ growing expectations and trust. Hamriyah Free Zone is a perfect place to interact with all markets in the Gulf region, and develop an important role in the support of the emerging Indian market as well,” he concludes.
The Italy-based Schnell group was established in 1990 with a vision to turn rebar processing — a dirty, hard and difficult job — into a modern, organised, clean and technological industrial activity. Today, Schnell has become a leading industrial group worldwide in the field of automatic machines and software for rebar processing, with 14 plants all around the world.
The company offers a wide range of machines to suit the varied requirements of the market. Among its most popular machines is the Prima stirrup machine.
“Prima is first and foremost a reliable machine, because it is a machine on which Schnell has gained a great deal of experience,” says a spokesman for Schnell.
“With Prima, the risks of malfunctioning are virtually nil and hence also its cutting maintenance or machine-stoppage costs. This extremely flexible machine can be used on building yards and in large bar machining centres to produce both stirrups and straightened bars with or without bends.
Prima is highly productive since it is able to execute a standard production cycle with single or double rods, equal to five bends, for a total development of 1,000 mm in about three seconds, he says.
“It is also one of the most inexpensive stirrup machines available on the market. Prima is also low on consumption and low maintenance costs. Thanks to its electrical servomotors, Prima on average consumes less than 3 kW an hour and does not require costly oil changes,” the spokesman says.
Other leading machines from Schnell’s portfolio includes Idea, which assembles cages by means of the patented ‘Schnell System’ and Monorobot 60 Servo, an automatic rebar bending station with a bending unit, able to bend automatically in one direction and manually in two directions.
Schnell’s extensive range of rebar processing machines includes automatic feeders, shear lines, cutting benches, shaping lines and multipurpose centres.
