A Saudi-based multi-million-dollar industrial contracting firm has opened its regional office in Bahrain.

Nasser S Al Hajri Corporation, based in Dammam and with branches in Qatar, Dubai and Kuwait, is planning to make Bahrain the main hub of its operations.

Al Hajri Global has opened its Bahrain office in the Diplomatic Area.

"We are happy to relocate our main offices to Bahrain, which is encouraging major international companies to benefit from its open and progressive policies," said managing director and chief executive officer Ravi Pillai. "Accredited as an ISO-9002 company, Al Hajri has a turnover of $300 million and has a qualified and experienced workforce of more than 7,000.''

Al Hajri's portfolio ranges from heavy civil and building construction, electromechanical erection and installation, pipelines and pipework, to electrical and instrumentation installation.

"We are specialised in the construction of hi-rise buildings and bridges, as well as in engineering, procurement and construction," said Pillai.

"We are approved contractors for Saudi Aramco, Sabic affiliates, Saline Water Conversion Corporation, Qatar Petroleum and Kuwait National Petroleum,'' he added.

Some of Al Hajri's ongoing projects include construction work at Yanbu Petrochemical Company, King Abdulaziz Hospital project in Dammam, National Oil Distribution Company in Doha, and Qatar Petroleum.
