Classy interiors from Alarabi.

Having established a strong foothold in Saudi Arabia over the past couple of decades with some of most luxurious and striking projects in its portfolio, Jeddah-based interior decoration specialist Alarabi Decoration and Construction Company has recently achieved major success in the markets of Kuwait and the UAE.

“Our group has penetrated the Kuwait and UAE markets where we have won prestigious contracts. Our sister company in Kuwait, Alarabi International for Decoration, which started operations in 2004, continues to capture a growing market share of the building decoration business there,” says Renato Zimmerman, general manager of Alarabi Decoration and Construction company. “Our Abu Dhabi branch, meanwhile – which began operations only last year – has already gained an opportunity to demonstrate its expertise by securing gypsum decorative works for various prominent villas in the UAE.”
For more than 25 years, Alarabi has decorated hundreds of villas, landmark commercial complexes and shopping centres, five-star hotels and royal palaces, accruing an impressive list of references – from flawless classical designs to the most intricate Islamic and sophisticated modern decorative works, he adds.
Alarabi continues to dominate the interiors and exteriors market in Saudi Arabia, securing some of the niche projects in the kingdom.
“Proof of this is the decorative works for the prestigious Hilton Royal Palace Hotel, the largest hotel located along the Jeddah cornice, as well as the Mall of Dhahran – considered to be the largest new retail destination in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province – where we have also secured work on the second phase,” he adds.
In addition to the Mall of Dhahran’s second phase, Alarabi is also working on several other prominent malls across Saudi Arabia including the Mall of Arabia and Red Sea Mall in Jeddah as well as the Sephora Mall in Al Khobar.
Meanwhile, Alarabi continues to be engaged in a number of projects in Makkah, where it is supplying and installing decorative gypsum suspended ceilings for the highly prestigious King Abdul Aziz Endowment project as well as about 93,000 sq m of gypsum ceilings and cornices at Le Meridien Hotel and Towers.
Some of its other projects in the region include the decoration works of the prestigious Tanagra shops in Jeddah, Riyadh and Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia as well as the decoration subcontract works for a private palace complex, which is nearing completion in Riyadh, for the contractor Haif Company.
Besides work in the kingdom, Alarabi has distinguished itself in a number of projects in the international arena, which have entailed extensive works for hotels in Italy, Ethiopia and Lebanon, a royal palace in Marbella in Spain and the parliamentary hall in Akmola in Kazakhstan.
From its modest beginnings in Jeddah in 1982, the company has grown into a significant enterprise in the Middle East and converted into a limited liability company in 2004. With the commitment and hard work of its dedicated and experienced staff, the company has become one of the leaders in the Middle East for decorative works.
Alarabi’s expertise covers the entire spectrum of interior and exterior decoration. It specialises in sophisticated and intricately hand-carved gypsum works, special painting and gold-leafing finishes, all kinds of artistic murals, domes, and personalised decorated pools that have been executed with high-quality workmanship and artistry by international teams of architects, artisans and decoration specialists.
The company has a 2,000 sq m workshop at its Jeddah headquarters and a 1,500 sq m workshop at its branch office in Riyadh.
