THE new Noor – Collezione Esclusiva by de Majo IIluminazione of Italy is a fascinating interpretation of lighting, inspired by Middle Eastern culture.
The lifestyle collection includes glass and metal wall lamps (one of which is designed for exteriors), a chandelier, a ceiling lamp, a pendant and a versatile lantern which can be fitted with a lightbulb or a even candle.
Keeping alive the traditional Murano glassmaking heritage while aesthetically drifting towards exotic nuances, Noor represents a well-balanced conglomerate of different styles crafted into unique lighting pieces which boast a strong character – made by masterful artisans in Murano, says a spokesman for the company.
Noor, which means “light” in Arabic, was conceived thanks to the collaboration with H&A Associati design studio, which briefed de Majo to create an original lighting collection for a prestigious residential interior. The collection, sought after for its effortlessly elegant and sophisticated look, has captured enough attention for it to be featured in the company’s general catalogue.
“The intertwining of metal patterns with artisanal glass communicates authentic luxury, without compromising on light itself, which is the true protagonist of this collection,” he concludes.
