Under the terms of the Dh160 million ($43.56 million) contract, Tabreed will design, build and own a new district cooling scheme to provide chilled water for cooling purposes for the project.

The planned scheme’s capacity can be expanded by a further 15 per cent to facilitate the future cooling requirements of the Dubai Pearl and will be operated and maintained by Tabreed for the next 20 years to ensure reliable and uninterrupted delivery of cooling services to the entire development.
