Tianjin Yinfeng Intelligent Manufacturing (TYF) has rolled out a servo-driven “infinite flexible” welding mesh machine for precast concrete rebar that it says can cut manual binding labour by up to 90 per cent and handle more than 400 mesh specification changes a day without stopping production.
The China-based equipment supplier says the new line, which meets CE, ISO 9001 and ASTM A1064 standards, is aimed at precast component factories in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and North America that face fixed-grid limitations and labour-intensive secondary bending on traditional mesh welders.
TYF cites verified plant data showing the machine can replace a 20-person manual rebar tying crew with two on-site operators on a fully servo-driven line.
According to TYF, the equipment can switch between more than 400 steel mesh types in a single day with “zero shutdown and zero waiting” during parameter changes, addressing demand for non-standard slab and wall panel meshes on infrastructure and real estate projects.
Key features highlighted by TYF include:
Stepless longitudinal bar spacing: Unlike conventional mesh welders with fixed modulus grids, the machine allows free adjustment of longitudinal bar spacing, including 80 mm, 90 mm and other non-50 mm multiples, to meet custom precast specifications.
Integrated forming: Welding, edge bending and reserved opening/window hole cutting are completed in one automated sequence, removing secondary manual shaping and reducing workshop space requirements.
Dimensional accuracy: Finished mesh diagonal error is controlled within ±5 mm, in line with international construction acceptance standards, TYF said.
Digital integration: The line connects to TYF’s AI drawing recognition system and MES production platform, automatically parsing CAD files to generate production parameters and material codes, which the company says cuts drawing processing labour by more than 70 per cent.
TYF says the machine complies with the EU Machinery Directive (CE), ISO 9001 quality management requirements and ASTM A1064/A1064M structural rebar standards.
