Red Sea Global (RSG), the regenerative tourism developer, has announced the opening of Rosewood Amaala, a luxury resort located at Triple Bay on Saudi Arabia’s northwestern Red Sea coast.
The opening marks another milestone in the company’s strategy to establish Amaala as the kingdom’s flagship wellness destination, said RSG in a statement.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the Red Sea and the mountains of Tabuk, the low-density resort has been designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV) to sit gently within the landscape. It blends contemporary Arabian design with restorative wellbeing experiences rooted in nature, culture and a strong sense of place.
Rosewood Amaala spans approximately 40 hectares and features 110 keys arranged in clusters that sit gently within green sanctuaries. The pavilions, suites, and villas include private swimming pools complemented by multiple shared resort pools, indoor-outdoor living spaces that offer a sense of privacy and calm. One of the resort’s renowned features are two natural rock pools set on the Red Sea coast.
Complementing the resort, Rosewood Residences Amaala comprises an exclusive collection of 26 branded residences, ranging from three- to five-bedroom villas, with interiors by Tristan Auer, it stated.
“Rosewood Amaala strengthens the destination’s position as a world-class wellness destination by bringing together Rosewood’s distinctive approach to luxury hospitality with personalised wellbeing experiences,” remarked John Pagano, the Group CEO of Red Sea Global.
“Together with our growing collection of wellness operators and hospitality partners, the resort expands the range of experiences available to guests seeking restorative, meaningful and immersive stays along the Red Sea coast,” he said.
The resort’s Asaya spa, which covers 2,100 sq m, includes six treatment rooms and a double suite, a private hammam, and wet areas for men and women with sauna and steam rooms. Two fitness centres are equipped with Technogym Artis, one of them for women alone, alongside studios for yoga and movement. Social House is a private day spa within Asaya, booked by one group for the day, where families can stay together and friends mark an occasion in a space of their own, stated Pagano.
