Rowad Modern Engineering, an ElSewedy Electric Group subsidiary, has been awarded the civil works contract for the Al Haer Sewage Treatment Plant, located 45 km south of Riyadh.

Spanning 500,000 sq m near Wadi Hanifa, the facility will treat 200,000 cu m of wastewater daily using advanced Nereda technology to support local residential growth and long-term sustainability. Recognised internationally as the IJGlobal Awards 2026 “Utility Deal of the Year – Water Treatment,” the project is a major milestone in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s water infrastructure.

Rowad Modern Engineering’s scope includes the delivery of the plant’s civil works, covering key construction activities and coordinated execution requirements essential to the successful completion of this vital facility.
