TPI Polene (TPIPL) has said a trio of global cement-makers was readying to bid for a stake in the company.
Thailand's third-largest cement producer told the Stock Exchange of Thailand that "three major international cement companies have already completed their due-diligence processes in studying the financial conditions of TPIPL and are considering submitting their bids for joint investments".
The company did not name the three cement companies but two months ago, chief executive Prachai Leophairatana had said four global cement-makers had shown interest in taking a stake in TPIPL.
These were Swiss cement group Holcim, formerly Holderbank Group; Ciments Francais; Mexico's Cemex, the world's third-biggest cement-maker; and France's Lafarge, the world's No 1 cement firm.
