The seventh International Maintenance, Reliability, and Asset Management Conference (Maintcon 2024) is set to take place this month (October 13 to 16) in Bahrain, promising to be a landmark event for those involved in these sectors.
Set to be held at the Exhibition World Bahrain, the event is organised by the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability (GSMR) in collaboration with the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE). Maintcon 2024 promises a dynamic line-up of activities and keynote sessions, featuring industry leaders and experts that will share their insights on the latest trends and challenges.
The conference aims to bring together more than 3,000 participants from around the world, and includes an exhibition that will showcase 80+ sponsors and exhibitors, along with a technical programme featuring insightful keynote sessions from prominent speakers representing leading global organisations.
The exhibition will showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions from leading companies, while providing ample opportunities for attendees to connect and collaborate. Moreover, workshops and panel discussions provide in-depth discussions and hands-on learning opportunities to professionals.
One of the standout features of Maintcon 2024 is the Youth Hall, a vibrant space dedicated to young professionals in the maintenance and reliability sectors. This hall will host discussions on industry challenges specific to youth, a Future Leaders Mentorship Program (GSMR-FLMP) connecting young talents with seasoned experts, and career development workshops focusing on essential skills, providing an opportunity for young professionals to network, learn, and grow.
The conference will also feature a Hackathon, where participants will tackle real-world problems in maintenance and reliability. This event encourages innovative thinking and collaboration, providing a platform for participants to showcase their problem-solving skills and potentially develop groundbreaking solutions.
The event also includes the Women in Industry and Asset Management (WIAM) Awards, which will recognise talented professionals, who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in industry and asset management organisations. With three award categories such as Emerging Professional, Women in Excellence and Women Empowerment, WIAM is committed to promote inclusive growth and gender equality among professionals, said the organiser.
In addition, the GSMR Excellence Awards, which aim to inspire continued excellence and innovation within the industry, will honour the achievements of individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to the field of maintenance and reliability.
Maintcon 2024 (www.maintcon.org) is more than just a conference; it is a movement towards building a resilient and sustainable future. By bringing together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts from around the world, the event aims to drive the global transition towards sustainability and resilience in asset management, the organiser adds.
