Klaro, a leading European wastewater treatment provider which has provided a range of solutions for projects in the Gulf region, offers a customisable solution for handling large volumes of wastewater with its Klaro Max system.
Unlike one-size-fits-all options, this modular system adapts to various environments, from commercial facilities to residential areas, ensuring efficient treatment regardless of location.
“Whether commercial or domestic, wastewater is generated at different volumes and in various environments. Hotels, residential areas and leisure facilities are just as dependent on safe and reliable wastewater treatment as industrial sites, airports and municipal facilities. Klaro Max wastewater treatment plants offer a modular solution that can be configured to suit individual circumstances and specific requirements,” says a spokesman for the company.
Klaro, which boasts established expertise in decentralised wastewater solutions, says its Klaro Max specifically caters to high-volume needs, exceeding 150 cu m per day. The system has a proven track record in diverse locations, including schools in China and universities in the Philippines.
The Klaro Max system's modular approach offers versatility. For smaller volumes (up to 750 cu m daily), a single-line system provides efficient performance. Larger volumes or populations exceeding 5,000 are handled by the two-line Klaro Max, guaranteeing reliable treatment, says the Germany-based company.
Both configurations rely on the well-established SBR (Sequence Batch Reactor) process, which is not separated in terms of space, but runs consecutively in a purification cycle. Additionally, Klaro offers comprehensive support, factoring in climate, altitude, and available space for optimal system design.
In order to make wastewater treatment with Klaro Max as demand-oriented and efficient as possible, various components are available for an economical set-up of the wastewater treatment plants. In addition to direct sewage treatment plant modules such as valves, screens, pumps and flaps, the components of the power house have also been developed on a modular basis and can be combined as required.
Users can find additional modules beyond the core operation in the form of Klaro blue.cycle products, which enable the treated wastewater to be reused through chlorination or UVC radiation, promoting water conservation.
Klaro prioritises operator needs through reliable performance with minimal effort and cost. The Klaro Max system and components are built with robust technology and high-quality materials, ensuring user-friendly operation and low maintenance requirements.
The modular nature allows for future expansion to adapt to changing wastewater volumes. The automation, low energy consumption, and wear-resistant components make Klaro Max a sustainable and long-lasting solution, says the company.
Klaro has supplied products to the Gulf region, including for an office building in Sharjah and workers camps in Oman and Qatar.
