UAE-based Azizi Developments has signed an agreement with International Foundation Group (IFG), a specialist in deep foundation and ground solutions, to provide piling, shoring, excavation, and dewatering works for its key Dubai skyscraper project – Burj Azizi.
Located at a prime plot of land on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, it is poised to become the second tallest tower in the world once completed, said the Emirati developer. It will feature a vertical shopping mall, luxury residences and opulent penthouses, a seven-star hotel, a one-of-its-kind observation deck, and numerous high-end F&B options, among other breathtaking features and amenities.
Burj Azizi is scheduled for completion within four years, stated the developer.
“Our strategic partnership with International Foundation Group for the critical piling, shoring, excavation, and dewatering operations for Burj Azizi is one that excites us very much,” remarked its CEO Farhad Azizi.
Meanwhile, Azizi Developments has signed up top architecture firms – Singapore’s SAA Architects, Chinese group MAD and London-based Zaha Hadid Architects – to compete in designing an innovative concept for its ambitious opera house project coming up within its mixed-use development, Azizi Venice, in Dubai South.
Located at the heart of the boulevard and built to the highest, most contemporary standards in design and architecture, Azizi Opera will become one of the most notable venues for high-calibre events in the emirate.
A prime tourist attraction and high-end local hotspot, Azizi Venice is planned to welcome over 30,000 visitors on a daily basis. The opulent community will have two Azizi-owned and operated five-star hotels at the entrances of the community, as well as one boutique hotel located on an island in the middle of the lagoon.
A large number of underground parking spaces will be constructed to grant tens of thousands of daily visitors easy access to Azizi Boulevard and Azizi Opera.
On completion, Azizi Venice will boast more than 30,000 homes across 100 apartment complexes, and 400 luxury villas and mansions.
