The Action QuickCourt ... a close-up.

ACTION Floor Systems has introduced the Action QuickCourt performance modular sports floor system featuring fast and easy installation with interlocking high-impact polypropylene sections, a stable surface and shock-absorbing underlayment for players’ safety.

“Action QuickCourt floors offer the convenience of a portable system, and provides a highly resilient, athlete-friendly surface for a variety of sports, including basketball, inline hockey, volleyball and aerobics,” says a spokesman for the US-based company.

The synthetic multi-sport floors are not affected by water or humidity and will not rot, blister or peel.

Installation and removal are uncomplicated, and can be handled easily by the facility manager in most cases. Instead of the typical, square tiles other floor manufacturers offer, Action QuickCourt utilises larger 12-sided main sections, offering a flatter, far more uniform playing surface.

A patented thermal expansion connector system features unique, three-sided connectors that actually expand and contract as court temperatures vary to maintain a flat surface, and prevent tripping hazards due to warping or buckling found in other floors.

The environment-friendly Action QuickCourt tiles are made from chemically nonreactive, low-toxicity, flame retardant copolymer polypropylene. A rolled rubber underlayment is used. And, if the time comes to replace the floor, the plastic is completely recyclable.

Action QuickCourt is available in six standard colours and can be customised with any required paint lines. It is covered under a 10-year limited warranty.

Action Floor Systems manufactures a wide selection of high-performance hardwood sports floor systems, and also offers Action RexCourt vinyl sheet, Action ReFlex recycled rubber flooring products, and the patented Action AirRide floor cover systems.

The company has been certified as a Carbon Negative Footprint provider following a life cycle assessment conducted by the University of Wisconsin and Carbon Clear, an international independent auditor of manufacturing carbon profiles. Action Floor Systems is the only Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association (MFMA) member to receive this independently audited accreditation, claims the spokesman.
