PROCEY Middle East has been witnessing a good response in the region to Resipod, its new surface resistivity meter.
“It has been launched quite recently and we are actually doing better than expected so far,” says a spokesman for Sharjah Airport Free Zone-based Proceq Middle East.
With the recent launch of the Resipod, Proceq has extended its successful portfolio of portable instruments for the non-destructive testing of concrete. Concrete surface resistivity testing is non-destructive, simple to perform and yet is one of the most versatile test methods for on-site evaluation of concrete, providing information such as the likelihood of corrosion, the corrosion rate, and the curing efficiency. It can even be used to predict the durability of a structure.
The Resipod also incorporates the necessary features required for a new AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) standard test method for estimating the permeability of hardened concrete by means of a surface resistivity measurement.
Available in two versions with industry standard 50 mm contact spacing and 38 mm contact spacing, the Resipod has several unique features. It is the most accurate surface resistivity meter available. It is the only fully-integrated four-point Wenner Probe on the market with on-board memory and a USB connection to a PC.
