TEREX has launched the all-new T70, T90 and T120 Super Quiet generators that incorporate a number of new, beneficial features and options, including Tier III engines and standard 110 percent spill containment. These generators are now available in the Middle East.
The base on all three generators provides 110 per cent spill containment of all on-board fluids, including fuel, coolant and oil, which helps protect the environment. The cabinet features an overlapping sheet metal design that reduces noise output and water ingress. The hinged rear panel and large engine bay doors were designed for ease of service for the machine and its electrical components.
“These generators are ideal for disaster relief and emergency situations, entertainment venues, construction sites and oil refineries,” says David Spears, product manager at Terex.
The generators are powered by either a heavy-duty Cummins or Perkins diesel engine, based on customer preference; both engines are Tier III compliant to meet the latest environmental standards. The engines are electronically controlled to maintain frequency to an accuracy of plus/minus 0.25 percent.
Like all Terex Super Quiet generators, the T70, T90 and T120 come standard with a permanent magnet generator (PMG) that provides a quicker response to changes in loads, resulting in better voltage regulation for motor starting and non-linear loads, says a spokesman for Terex. The fuel capacity on all three generators offer 24 hours of continuous operation on one tank of fuel and the standard idle run feature allows the Cummins engine to warm or maintain temperature in cold weather applications.
The distribution panel on the generators includes a five-lug distribution board and optional cam lock-style connectors. Power can be utilised simultaneously from three-phase and single-phase receptacles. The three-phase voltages on the unit include 208/220/240/440/480, and the single-phase voltages are 120/240. The power distribution door is electronically interlocked to prevent injury or inadvertent damage to the generators’ components. Designed for the rental market, the T70, T90 and T120 family of generators share a common user interface with all other Terex Super Quiet generators for ease of use.
