China National Building Materials International Engi-neering (CNBM Engineering) aims to boost its presence in the Middle East.

The engineering procurement and construction/engineering procurement (EPC/EP) contractor has already been involved with the construction of cement plants in the region.
Earlier this year, the company had organised a promotional seminar in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was attended by more than 150 companies.
“Our mission is to become a world leading contractor that sets the benchmark and leads future innovation in this field, and to provide outstanding service for international building material engineering projects,” says a spokesman for the company.
He continues: “Our main strength is in the EPC sector. Our scope of work covers EPC/EP and production management for  cement plants, general civil construction works, glass plant, plasterboard production line, rockwool production line as well as steel and power generation plants.”

“CNBM Engineering has exported complete sets of production lines of cement, float glass, glassfibre, plasterboard, clay bricks and ceramic production to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Angola, Sudan and Azerbaijan, In addition, many EPC projects have been contracted by us in various countries.”
The company has successfully supplied building materials for a number of cement plants in the region.
Recent projects that the company has been involved with, include Najran Line 1 with a capacity of 6,000 tonnes per day (tpd), Najran Line 2 with a capacity of 3,000 tpd and the 6,000 tpd North Region Cement project (all in Saudi Arabia); the 5,300 tpd Atbara cement project and the 4,800 tpd Berber Cement Project in Sudan; the 5,000 tpd Al Rajhi Mafraq Cement in Jordan; the 3000 tpd Ali Abdullah Alesayi Cement in Yemen, 1,500 tpd Absheron Cement plant in Azerbaijan; and the 5,000 tpd Derba Midroc Cement in Ethiopia.
CNBM Engineering exports the complete set of equipment for the cement industry such as concrete/asphalt mixing plant, crushing, mining, bulk materials handling and vessel discharging, production line for construction materials such as blocks, bricks and tiles, among others.
