High on hygiene

Geberit fittings ... designed to enhance hygiene in the bathroom.

The current coronavirus pandemic has heightened the global demand for enhancing hygienic standards in our living environments.  With the topic of hygiene having always been a priority in both private and commercial bathrooms for Geberit, the European sanitary ware and fittings specialist offers a wide spectrum of products with outstanding features that ensure maximum hygiene and cleanliness in the bathroom.

These include:

  • Wall-mounted taps, which are much easier to clean, as there are no slots or edges where splash water could collect;
  • Wall-hung WCs for an easier cleaning of the floor;
  • Rimfree WC ceramics which are much easier to clean than WCs with a rim where dirt and bacteria can hide;
  • KeraTect special glaze which gives bathroom ceramics a non-porous and dirt-repellent surface that can be kept clean easily;
  • Touchless actuator plates or actuator plates with easy-to-clean surface coating;  and
  • Concealed cisterns that are hidden behind the wall ensuring there is no pipework for dirt and bacteria to hide.

Taps

Lavatory taps must be hygienic, easy to clean and safe in order to handle the heavy-duty use in semi-public and public sanitary areas.

The Geberit washbasin taps Piave and Brenta feature a slim, elegant design. The outlet is much higher than on other solutions, giving the user more space for hand washing whilst also improving hygiene. Furthermore, the taps can be easily combined with a wide range of different washbasins.

The taps boast touchless operation for improved hygiene, while their design and surface texture ensure they are easy to clean and maintain.

Also, the wall-mounted taps are more aesthetic and easier to clean, as there are no slots or edges where splash water could accumulate.

Concealed cisterns & Wall-hung WCs

The fewer the edges, joints and corners, the more hygienic and simpler it is to clean. Particularly in the WC area, it is better when ceramic appliances are wall-mounted to keep the floor space open.

Wall-hung WCs give bathrooms a neat and tidy appearance and make cleaning the floor easier. They have been a standard feature in modern bathrooms for decades and have proven their worth in millions of installations.

A concealed cisterns means no exposed pipework for dirt and bacteria to hide and hence have become the standard for flush technology in modern bathrooms.

Rimfree technology

A standard WC is hard to clean as a classic rim is a good place for bacteria and urine scale deposits to accumulate. Without that rim, stains are easily detected and removed.

Geberit has introduced a completely new and patented flush technology – the Geberit Rimfree technology. The flow of water is controlled just before it reaches the ceramic pan. A so called flush guide sends the water stream along both sides to the exact area where it is needed for a clean and thorough flush – and only there.

A Rimfree ceramic is the most hygienic solution for the bathroom.

Also, the Geberit KeraTect glaze protects the ceramic and makes cleaning easier. KeraTect is baked on as a special glaze and has a virtually non-porous and extremely smooth surface that can be kept clean easily and efficiently.

KeraTect is also dirt-repellent, hygienic and clean; and durable and scratchproof.

The KeraTect special glazing ensures many years of protection for ceramic surfaces.

Geberit offers urinal, washbasin and WC ceramics that comply with the highest standards of design and hygiene. The Geberit KeraTect glaze protects the ceramic and makes it simpler to clean.

Touchless flushing

Recent surveys have revealed that fewer and fewer bathroom users are happy to actuate the flushing process manually – instead, they are increasingly looking for sanitary technology that features touchless operation.

In high-traffic public spaces, there is great demand for durable, low-maintenance and easy-to-clean sanitary facilities that are also simple to operate and look good.

Hygienic, clean and well flushed, semi-public and public WCs are always inviting to users. With touchless WC flush controls, you ensure the reliable actuation of a flush after every use.

By offering electronic WC flush actuators using IR sensors, Geberit has a solution to meet this growing demand. And while it requires the toilet to have an electrical connection, this is a feature that is fast becoming the norm.

Geberit offers flush actuators that enable touchless operation of the flush, without pressing a button and therefore are always hygienic.

Geberit WC flush controls are actuated automatically and without touch when the WC user leaves, or by a hand motion near the visible IR sensor. In the event of a power failure, manual actuation is also possible. In this way, the WC flush controls meet the strictest hygiene requirements and the dual flush function saves water.

Touchless urinal flush controls offer better hygiene in semi-public and public spaces and ensure that the user always encounters a cleanly flushed urinal. Geberit offers innovative, well-coordinated and tested solutions to guarantee permanent functional reliability, attractive design and economic efficiency.
