Riyadh Cement Company has signed a contract with Sinoma Energy Conservation (Sinoma-ec) for establishing a waste heat recovery project.
 
The $34,800,000 contract was signed on Tuesday (November 28), according to a Saudi Exchange filing.
 
Under the contract, a power generation plant using waste heat with a production capacity of 12.64 MW will be set up at the Riyadh Cement facility.
 
The project is expected to be completed in 20 months and will be funded by a local bank, the notification said.
 
Riyadh Cement was founded in 1997 as one of the largest cement companies in Saudi Arabia. Over the years, it has earned a reputation for manufacturing grey and white cement.
