Kutahya Seramik, which is currently focusing on the Gulf countries as its primary export market, has recently introduced its new Metronorm tile series in a bid to tap of some of the most innovative and prestigious projects of the region.

The leading Turkish manufacturer of wall and floor tiles, glazed porcelain and glass mosaics has also started to build up a dealers chain in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Syria, Qatar and Iraq, to enable it to further entrench itself in these markets.
Metronorm, a collection that inspired by urban life, is produced using innovative technology, to achieve different surface finishes and sizes such as 25 by 50 cm, 50 by 50cm, 50 by 100 cm, 25 by 100 cm, 16.5 by 100 cm, 25 by 75 cm and 33 by 66 cm. The design range include Madera, Cosmos, Aura, Crown, Jazz Club, Morocco, Gardenwall, Woody, Model and Megalith.
Elaborating on a few of these lines, a spokesman for Kutahya Seramik says: “The 25 by 50 cm Aura series of tiles incorporates high gloss technology and is designed to give a metallic look for walls. Matching glazed porcelain flooring tiles are produced in the 50 by 50 cm format using the lappato technique, which are available in a choice of colours such as ivory, mocha and espresso.
“The Model series has been produced using Satinato technique to create a granule lustre effect with rectified edges. It is available in two sizes – 25 by 50 cm and 50 by 50 cm – in colour options of ivory, lead and taupe. A Model panel consists of two pieces, measuring 25 by 100 cm and is available in matt and gloss finish with golden and platinum flowers. 
“Madera porcelain tiles have varied body colours with a natural stone-look finish, which results from using a dry application technique. Inspired by nature and detailed with rustic reliefs, the Madera series comes in two sizes – 33 by 66 cm and 16.5 by 66 cm – in either rectified or non-rectified finish in beige, ivory, grey, gold, Noce and Rosso colours. The series can be completed with elegant cut-borders on mesh.”
In addition to Metronorm, Kutahya Seramik offers an extensive choice of tiles.  Glass mosaic is produced under the brand name Brezza, which combines aesthetics and simplicity.
“Each mosaic piece is handled delicately by the artisans who make it comes to life in a colourful art form. This unique glass mosaic range usually has a 4 mm and 6 mm thickness, although a range of different sizes can also be custom-manufactured to customer specifications,” he says.
