Bambini ... improved and optimised.

Swiss sanitary solutions provider Geberit has unveiled a significant update to its popular Bambini series, specifically designed to create child-friendly and functional washrooms in schools and childcare centres. The new range features improved toilets, actuator plates, washing troughs, taps, and installation elements for seamless integration with Geberit GIS and Geberit Duofix systems.

This thoughtfully designed series ensures optimal use of the facilities by children of all ages. By incorporating features like easily accessible toilets, washbasins, and actuator plates, Bambini playfully promotes good hygiene habits and supports a child’s development.

“The Bambini series offers a comprehensive solution for WC and washplace areas, catering to the specific needs of toddlers and children up to 14 years old,” explains Ahmed ElRemeily, Product Manager (Ceramics) for Geberit in the Gulf Region. “With the 2024 update, we have further improved the products, optimised the colour palette and designed the products to meet the needs of childcare and cleaning staff.”

The new solutions, which are now available at leading sanitary supply showrooms across the Gulf and Levant region, are complemented by a support package for investors, sanitary engineers and plumbers. This includes tender texts, instructions and planning aids.

New toilets

The toilets in the Geberit Bambini portfolio have been given a comprehensive makeover, with new WC ceramic appliances and height-adjustable actuator plates. The new Rimfree WC ceramic appliances are available in three different heights (24, 30 and 35 cm). They are attached to Geberit Duofix elements that have been specially developed for the Bambini toilets. Using the Duofix elements, the height of the actuator plates can be adjusted to suit the requirements of the children. The shrouded design of the ceramic appliances makes them easier to clean, as there are fewer surfaces for dirt to accumulate, ElRemeily points out.

The wall-hung WC can be installed at a child-friendly height of 35 cm.

The wall-hung WC can be installed at a child-friendly height of 35 cm.

“Children of pre-school and primary school age can look forward to using the new Geberit Bambini wall-hung WC. The WC can be installed at a child-friendly height of 35 cm and has a floor clearance of 7 cm. The low installation height is achieved by means of a plastic flush guide in the ceramic appliance, which diverts the flush water from the normal frame height to the low installation height,” he says.

Adjustable height

The Geberit Duofix element for floor-standing WCs for children and infants (97 cm) with Sigma concealed cistern 12 cm has three predefined positions for the height of the actuator plate: 78, 83 and 88 cm. The factory setting of the element for floor-standing WCs corresponds to that of the wall-hung WCs, namely 88 cm. If the actuation height is reduced or a different floor-standing WC is installed, the flush pipe must be shortened and the crossbar for the outlet adjusted to the appropriate height.

Play and washspace

The redesigned Geberit Bambini play and washspace boasts a modernised and timeless design. Up to three levels are integrated in the washing troughs, each of which is suitable and accessible for different age groups. These levels are depicted as gentle waves that give the design a playful and flowing effect.

“In childcare centres and kindergartens, it makes sense to choose a colour that is appealing to children. In the new colour concept, the actuator plates and WC seats, as well as the washbasin taps and design plates, can be combined with the washing troughs in modern tone-in-tone colours. This gives the sanitary facilities a playful yet timeless atmosphere,” ElRemeily concludes.
