A multitude of international and local contractors and suppliers have been signed up recently to create a world-class setting for Azizi Developments’ premium waterfront-lifestyle destination Riviera, which is located in the heart of Dubai’s MBR City.

The masterplanned development, designed to introduce the French-Mediterranean lifestyle to Dubai, will comprise 71 mid-rise buildings which will comprise 16,000 residences upon its completion, conveniently located in the midst of all the business, leisure, and retail hubs of the city.

Among its striking landscaping features is a 2.7-km-long swimmable crystal lagoon covering an area of more than 130,026 sq m that will stretch across the entirety of the community. With stunning blue flooring, filled with more than 51.5 million gallons of crystal-clear, desalinated and clean water that residents can swim in, and easily accessible via its lagoon walk – which will also feature a vast variety of artisan eateries and boutiques. Work on the lagoon is moving at a fast pace and is expected be completed by the second quarter of next year, according to Azizi.

Other key attractions will include a beach spanning 2 km, a beautiful palm tree-lined boulevard and numerous community parks.

Over the past couple of months, the developer has appointed Modern Gardens Landscaping to further enhance the outdoor areas and kids’ playgrounds in the third phase of Riviera with swings, slides, seesaws, chess boards, seating, movie-night benches, litter bins, an outdoor and podium area.

The UAE-based landscaping solutions provider is renowned for its distinct outdoor furniture and playground equipment, says Azizi.

Ithara Group, a German company well known for its high-quality playground and outdoor furniture, has also been signed up to similarly enhance the outdoor spaces and children’s playgrounds across 17 buildings in the third phase of Riviera.

Also for Phase Three, Infinite Leisure Swimming Pool Installation and Al Dolphin Swimming Pools & Technical Services will supply swimming pools of the Italian and Spanish brands Aqua and AstralPool, incorporating mosaic dolphin designs, across its buildings in this phase.

Meanwhile, Transgulf Cement Products, a leading supplier of concrete products in the GCC, has been awarded a contract for the installation of pavers and interlocks for landscaping and exterior areas across the mega waterfront project; and Al Khalili United General Trading has been selected for the supply of outdoor lights with high-end lighting control solutions within Azizi’s flagship waterfront project.
