Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC) has won the inaugural Saudi Arabian Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce Export Award for 'Machines and Accessories'. The chamber instituted the award in line with the country's commitment to assist in the development of export goods. Other award categories include Food Industries, Chemical and Petrochemical Industries, Metallurgical Products and Plastic-related Products.

"The award will inspire us to continue our efforts and our dedication to excellence in manufacturing air-conditioners. ZAC makes a conscientious effort to ensure that our export services are highly efficient and we will continue to upgrade these services in accordance to market and technological changes," says Ahmed Al Zamil, president of ZAC.

ZAC fulfilled the award criteria which included ratio of exports vs total production; growth of exports over the past few years; number of international distributors; international exhibitions attended; ratio of Saudisation among employees; and sourcing Saudi-based products.

The Export Award is the latest of several awards claimed by ZAC over the past 25 years. ZAC recently won the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Al Saud Award for the ideal factory. ZAC is recognised internationally for its standards of achievement with awards such as the ISO9002, the European CE Certificate, and the American UL Certification under its belt.
