NetPlus Touter, a new desktop or panel-mounted building automation systems controller.

Control Systems International (CSI) has introduced the NetPlus Router, a new desktop or panel-mounted building automation systems controller that dispenses with the need for a host LAN (local area network) or auto-dial links.

It has been designed to sit on a company's existing IT network and offers connection to commercial Ethernet TCP/IP networks, producing significant savings on telephone lines and auto-dial links.

"Lightweight and physically simple to install, with all connections made from the rear, the new device embodies everything needed to allow it to link directly to a commercial WAN, while other incorporated features include an AUI port, pre-configuration; management, supervision and diagnosis by remote communication; MIS tools and a range of power sources from 24 volts," says a spokesman for the UK-based firm.

The NetPlus Router has been designed for use in educational establishments, office developments and hospitals and by businesses with numerous operational sites locally and throughout the world.

Sales in the Middle East are handled by CSI's network of VARs across the region.
