Riyadh-based Insulation and Wrapping Materials Company (Insuwrap) is planning the launch of a new production line this year for manufacturing PVC waterproofing membranes and TPO membranes.

The membranes are offered in a wide range of thicknesses and are based on technical know-how from Germany.
In this technology, the extrusion and calendering system is designed for PVC-dry-blend as well as for TPO using double-stage planetary roll extruder and a four-rolls calender to ensure optimum homogenization. It also helps to give an accurately controlled thickness by using Beta gauge thickness measuring system that can reach a capacity of 10 million sq m of a single layer or 5 million sq m of multi-layers using up to 10 million kg of raw materials.
Insuwrap – a wholly Saudi owned company – started production of PVC waterproofing membranes in Saudi Arabia in 1985 using German state-of-the-art technology and know-how. Since then, more than 30 million sq m of its PVC membranes have been used in projects in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries as well as Africa and Europe.
Insuwrap PVC membranes meet the highest international standards of DIN, ASTM and SIA and are known for their durability and resistance to extreme weather conditions and high temperature fluctuations. The company is well-renowned for manufacturing waterproofing membranes for exposed and covered roofs, drinking water tanks, artificial lakes, swimming pools, tunnels and metal decks among others.
