El SEIF Engineering has starting painting works of the first of the villas it has completed at the 5,000-villa Al Falah development in Abu Dhabi using paints from Sigma Paints.

Sigma Paints will supply an estimated Dh12 million to Dh15 million ($3.27 million to $4.09 million) worth of paints on the masterplanned project for UAE nationals, where already 400 villas are in various stages of construction. In addition, the Dammam-based paint major will be supervising the painting process to ensure that they has been applied correctly.
The paints approved for the project are an enhanced version of Sigma Masonry Primer, an improved version of Aquafill, Aquamatt, Perfex, and Sigma acrylic primer sealer, Sigma fine texture, and Sigma medium texture, all coloured.
The villas are scheduled to be handed over in early 2012.

El Seif Engineering is building 2,089 villas, while Al Jaber Contracting and SPK are building 2,000 and 911 villas respectively.

Al Falah, which will provide 5,000 homes for mid-income UAE families, is located to the east of Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway. It will comprise five villages, each with its own village centre, schools, and mosques.

The town centre will include a mall, outdoor gardens and exhibition spaces, a community centre, park, a 200-room hotel, a 110-bed hospital, 50,000 sq m of office buildings, a fire station, a mosque, central bus/tram/metro interchange, and a post office.

Being built over an area of around 12 million sq m, the project will include 15 schools catering for children of all ages from early learning to high school.

The entire development is targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2015.
