The BIG Show .... sees overwhelming response from exhibitors.

Leading players in the building and construction sector will be in Oman to discuss major industry issues at The BIG (Builders International Gathering) Show to be held in March (March 30 to April 2).

The international event that caters to the requirements of the building and construction industry in Oman and the wider region, was launched as Interiors and Buildex in 2002 and rebranded as The BIG Show in 2010.

In 2009, it received recognition as a UFI-approved event by UFI-the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. Now on its 11th edition, it is recognised among the biggest and most important events for the sector.

Last year's edition was the largest building, construction and interior design event ever to take place in Oman, said the event organisers ITE Gulf.

This year, more new profiles like pool and spa, water technologies, green energy and the mechanical, electrical and plumbing sectors are being introduced, it added.

The BIG Show 2015 will gather all construction industry professionals from the local, regional and global arena.

According to the organisers, the event is an unique opportunity for participants to meet and interact directly with serious buyers who are seeking to source the latest interior furnishings, building and construction materials, services and technologies, and hoping to network with suppliers, distributors and manufacturers, top executives and decision makers.

The event registered more than 13,000 visitors - a record-breaking result for an Omani event, they stated.

"It has also achieved more than a 20 per cent increase in exhibitor participation, both local and international, strengthening our drive to offer the best experience for both our exhibitors and visitors," said the statement from ITE Gulf.

Several leading architects, contractors, consultants, end-users/buyers, engineers, homeowners, importers/distributors, interior designers, manufacturers, project managers, property developers, property managers, property owners, purchasing managers, real estate agents, retailers and suppliers and site managers will be present at the four-day event, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
