The UAE emirate of Dubai will implement an urban plan effective up to 2012 which will feature the development of new recreational areas, residential districts and schemes such as the possible establishment of a new airport to cope with the rapid growth of the emirate.

Ghazi Al Nakkash, general manager of the Gulf Consultant for Research and Consultancy, which mapped out the plan for Dubai Municipality, indicated that three major new recreational centres can be established in Ras Al Khor, Mina Seyahi and Bur Dubai.
