UAE-based Parker Company (Middle East), a private enterprise, has rendered procurement services for all components of the Madinat Jumeirah project.

Parker Company has successfully executed projects of enormous proportions and is happy to be associated with Madinat Jumeirah,” says a company spokesman.
“The company completed the Mina A’Salam last September, and followed it up 10 months later with the Al Qasr Hotel and villas and the Phase III suq and multi-purpose venue, he says.
As part of its managed project procurement services, the company prepares budgets, obtains pricing and payment terms through competitive and open bidding, executes purchase orders to manufacturers, monitors delivery of merchandise, negotiates freight management, supervises delivery and installation of merchandise on site and assists the client in the payment process.
“To keep clients informed at all stages, we provide them with progress reports on production and delivery, schedules of payment, as well as budget analysis, comparing actual cost at completion with the initially approved estimates/budgets,” says the spokesman.
“We have been successful over the years, thanks to the professionalism and experience of our teams as well as the transparency of all our transactions,” says the spokesman.
“Through our state-of-the-art online data network  ‘Llinx’, we provide clients with a direct access to all related administrative transactions with vendors and manufacturers,” he adds.
“The company procures directly from manufacturers, across the world with an annual tab which is in access of $350 million, showing the company’s unprecedented procurement power. This level of procurement has rarely been achieved by other purchasing companies who are in direct competition with the Parker Company, the spokesman points out.
Parker Company is part of a global hospitality procurement consortium with regional offices in Dubai, Miami (US), Amsterdam (the Netherlands), London (UK), and Johannesburg (South Africa). Its primary activity involves providing managed project procurement for all hotel project-related furniture fixtures and equipment (FF&E) including carpets, wall covering, bedding, furniture, fabrics, draperies, lighting, artwork, and other accessories; and providing operating supplies and equipment (OS&E) including chinaware, silverware, glassware, bed and table linen, mini-bars, TVs, safes, kitchen utensils, floor-care equipment, banquet equipment, transportation, and recreational equipment.
Besides the Madinat Jumeirah, the Dubai-based company has completed a number of prestigious projects such as Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Emirates Towers Hotel, Burj Al Arab Hotel, Royal Mirage I and II, Traders Hotel and Fairmont Hotel, in addition to impressive projects in Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
