CleanLine50 shower channel includes a practical comb insert.

Swiss sanitary solutions provider Geberit recently launched a number of innovative products in the Gulf region and in Lebanon and Jordan.  Among them were its new CleanLine50 shower channel and a major expansion of its Option Mirrors line, which now includes a total of 40 models.

With CleanLine50, Geberit has expanded the range of CleanLine shower channels with a new design variant that has a width of just 3 cm and an asymmetrical drainage channel.

“The new CleanLine50 shower channel, with its modern and minimalist design, scores with proven features such as easy cleaning, guaranteed tightness and integrated slope,” says Louise Pitt, Head of Marketing and Communication (Gulf Office), Geberit International Sales. “With its elegant and timeless look, CleanLine50 can be incorporated into almost any bathroom design.”

The shower channel is made of high-quality materials and can be adjusted to the width of the shower surface. It is available in two colours and finishes: brushed stainless steel and black chrome with anti-fingerprint coating.

Elaborating on its features, she says: “The drainage channel of the Geberit CleanLine50 has a slope that optimally drains the shower water, saving tilers a lot of work. Previously, they would have to bend the shower channel slightly to create a slope and reconstruct it with mortar and tiles.”

With a height of 10 mm, the shower channel is just as high as most commercially available tiles and as it has an integrated slope and does not need to be curved during installation, the tiles can be laid horizontally against the shower channel. This makes the CleanLine50 particularly suitable for large tile dimensions, Pitt adds.

“This apart, CleanLine50 requires significantly less metal than the previous model and is therefore around 50 per cent lighter. The shower channel thus meets the requirements of Geberit Ecodesign, according to which every product must be better than its predecessor in ecological terms,” she points out.

A complete installation set is available for the CleanLine50 shower channel, enabling effortless installation and secure sealing by the fitter. The sealing fleece is cast directly with the inlet flange ex-works, ensuring guaranteed tightness and minimising the risk of lengthy, costly and frustrating water damage, Pitt says.

As the name suggests, the entire CleanLine assortment has smooth, open drainage surfaces in which neither dirt nor bacteria can accumulate. In addition, the practical comb insert can be easily and conveniently removed and quickly rinsed out, thanks to its innovative design.

Meanwhile, Geberit has added 22 new models to its range of Option illuminated mirrors, now offering customers a choice of as many as 40 mirrors in different sizes and designs.

“Design requirements for bathrooms are as diverse as they are individual, which is why Geberit has extended its product range to include a wide selection of illuminated mirrors to suit various budgets and requirements,” Pitt states.

All mirrors in the Option series are equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting.

“The lighting concept has been revised and the colour temperature adjusted to a warm white light (3,000 Kelvin), which is perfect for picking up details while still creating a cosy ambience,” she explains.

The new mirror models offer an innovative and patented fastening solution for easy installation on the wall. Geberit’s wall-mounted holder is height-adjustable within a margin of 5 mm and provides a secure and flush fit for the mirror against the wall.

The Geberit Option product range now includes five mirror models:

•  The premium Geberit Option Plus Square line for maximum convenience. To prevent the mirror surfaces from fogging up after a warm bath or shower, the illuminated mirror features an anti-mist heating system that can be activated manually. This deactivates automatically after 30 minutes, which reduces energy consumption if the user forgets to switch it off;

•  The new Geberit Option Round line for design-conscious customers;

•  The new Geberit Option Oval line with real design freedom;

•  The versatile Geberit Option Square line;

•  The basic Geberit Option Basic Square line for a wide variety of bathroom sizes.

The new CleanLine50 and Option Mirrors are available from leading retailers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon and Jordan from this month (April).

The new shower channel and the Option Mirrors were among the numerous innovations and solutions on display at Geberit’s stand last month at ISH, the world's leading trade fair for the water, heat and air sectors, held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
