AL ARRAYED Transport of Bahrain, with over 30 years of experience in the transport arena, is not resting on its laurels and continues to expand. The company has now unveiled plans to start its own trailer and spare parts production next year.
Already a big name in domestic inland transportation services and logistics, the company’s ambitious plans come against a backdrop of the global recession, showing that it is undeterred by the downturn.
“Our plans for expansion have certainly been slowed for the moment, but the recession hasn’t had much effect on our operations. Rather, we have posted an increase in sales revenue as compared to last year,” says Haji Abdulameer Ali Salem Al Arrayed, managing director of Al Arrayed Transport. “In fact, the past four years have been the best in our history, during which we recorded a huge improvement in services and see an excellent year ahead.”
Al Arrayed Transport was established in 1978 with a firm commitment to provide high-quality services in domestic inland transportation and logistics. Over the years, it has built an extensive knowledge of the entire transportation and logistics services.
“Clients across Bahrain know us as a company with a long-standing reputation for on-time performance with reasonable cost,” says Al Arrayed.
Since its humble beginnings, the company today employs 100 people and scores of vehicles, satisfying customer needs, which has been the driving force behind the company’s success.
Al Arrayed’s current scope of activity includes heavy transportation, vehicle equipment and construction machinery leasing, warehousing and storage services. It also supplies construction machinery and other heavy equipment to major companies in Bahrain.
Its area of operation is, however, not limited to Bahrain as it offers all these services throughout the GCC as well.
The company is also a busy player at the Bahrain International Airport with operations including freight forwarding, custom clearing, international freight and logistics services, packing and moving services, etc. Over the past three years, Al Arrayed has been putting its name on the global map by transporting Formula One cars from the airport to the track at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
The company has constantly been keeping its fleet up to date. It has renewed its fleet, and has plans to introduce more equipment such as cranes, six-wheel trucks, excavators, and other heavy machinery to meet growing customer demand.
